I noonhatted the a2b3 lunch every Thursday in Ann Arbor at Eastern Accents downtown.

Is there a noonhat feed? I'd love to see some kind of aggregation of where all of the lunches are.

Pavel: Yeah, the main reason I'm not showing other circles or past stats is fear of people never signing up because they don't see that other people already have.

Remi: The site is pretty well cached... however, I need to change how I'm sending email before I can get too much more traffic. ;)

Peter: Glad it worked out! I've thought a bit about feedback, but since the matches are random, I couldn't see what it would really add to the process.

i just did lunch in palo alto, ca - was cool.

there should be some sort of feedback mechanism so folks can basically build up their noonhat rep. it would have to be pseudo-anonymous, though, to prevent all sorts of weird situations. maybe, collect up to five 'reviews' of a person before presenting a final 'score' - i dunno. maybe not necessary, but...

This is good news for the site !
I'm thinking of submitting your site to slashdot. Do you think your site is ready to handle the traffic ? One thing you need to make sure is that there is no DB query for the home page and that you do as much caching as possible for the other pages ...
